ABOUT ROBERT ARLEIGH WHITE
Robert Arleigh White has directed over 70 plays and worked to produce dozens more throughout North Florida. Now living in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Bob is the Artistic Director for Asheville Community Theatre. From his perch on the mountaintop, he pays good and careful attention to all y’all sweethearts and treasured spots along the seashore and riverbanks of Northeast Florida. A Folio Award Winning Best Actor, Bob found the perfect performance partner in Charlotte Mabrey, and their decades-long collaboration has outlasted pets, people, and predicaments. Charlotte is, of course, a Legendary Civic Treasure. Formerly principal percussionist for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and a much beloved and revered Teacher of the Year for UNF, her collaboration on the RAWTalk Project is a full-on bona fide bonus! Her extraordinary record of artistic work and educational service in Northeast Florida notwithstanding, it is truly her eagerness to explore the performance art space that has many times lifted us all outside our boxes of predictability and sailed us right into the heart of joy.
All of which is to say: You do not want to miss this!
ABOUT BABS’LAB
For the past ten years, BABS’LAB has become a house of story — a third space where people gather to learn, experiment, and truly feel heard
Founder and Artistic Director, Barbara Colaciello, has dedicated her career to helping people discover their own stories and bear witness to the stories of their fellow human beings. whether through oral storytelling, improv, theater, or art. BABS'LAB creates opportunities for people to develop confidence and presence as communicators, together in a community of others who are doing the same. The result is a space where we are witnessed and bear witness to others.
At BABS’LAB people surprise themselves. They stop rehearsing life and begin to inhabit it.
And it’s fun!
