WHAT'S A STORY SLAM? A story slam is a live storytelling friendly competition similar to poetry slams. Storytellers have 5 minutes each to tell a TRUE personal story based on a THEME chosen for the event without the use of notes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
1. Purchase a ticket for the event! Thank You!
2. You will Receive a confirmation email from BABS’LAB. You’ll be given a link to complete your registration. Please do this immediately so you will be able to join the webinar on May 15th at the specified time. Please Note: Healtheconomics.coms is our host.
3. You can watch or tell a story if you have a webcam, computer, or a smart phone.
4. And don’t forget to grab a drink and find a comfy artful spot to sit back, relax and listen..

• Get Bab-tized and sign up for a FREE 30 minute coaching session designed to clarify your story by going over content, structure, best camera location etc. Babs will be your sounding board!

HOW IT WORKS
• Every story slam event has a HOST and a THEME.
• Audience members can prepare a story and "sign up" ahead of time when they register.
• There are 10 storytellers only so be sure to let Babs know if you plan on sharing!!!
• Each will have 5 minutes with a 2 minute grace period to share. Please stick to the time. Thank you.
• At the end of the evening the audience votes for their favorite storyteller. The Winner earns a place to perform in the Grand Slam.

STORY SLAM RULES
• Five minute stories or under. There will be a 2 minute grace period.
•Tell us a story with high stakes that has a conflict with a resolution or lesson.
• No ranting, or sermonizing.
• No notes. You won’t need them. It’s your story. Speak from your heart and Invest in what you say.
• No props. Just you.
