BABS’LAB is thrilled to present RAW Talks written and performed by master storyteller Robert Arleigh White. Join us for an intimate evening of TALKING + TUNES + MORE. As the Artistic/Executive Director for Theatre Jacksonville, Bob directed exactly 50 plays and worked to produced dozens more throughout Northeast Florida. A Folio Award winning Best Actor, he found the perfect performance partner in Charlotte Mabrey, and their decades-long collaboration has outlasted pets, people and predicaments. (Charlotte was the legendary principal percussionist for the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and a much beloved and revered Teacher of the Year for UNF so her being here tonight is a full-on bona fide bonus!) Bob also led the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville from 2000 to 2013. His commitment to inclusion, diversity and access by anyone who wanted to attend, participate, support or perform is a matter of record and helped ensure public funding of the arts in Jacksonville in economically challenging times. In recognition of this work, August 12 has been proclaimed Robert Arleigh White Day in the City of Jacksonville. Today he’s answering your questions and telling his stories.
